I wouldn't be worried about plastidip catching on fire. Yes, the brakes can get very hot, but, you know the tires are also a little flammable.

I also wouldn't even try to protect track wheels. They will get beat to hell. Plastidip might protect against brake dust, but nothing else.

I would like to illustrate as well that I also, do not spray paint my track wheels. But nonetheless, MLA is right, there's little concern considering all the other highly flammable items involved in a car but it was reasonable to point out.

I was just wanted to illustrate (especially with the videos) that the claim that plasti-dip was very resistant to ignition wasn't entirely accurate, that is all.
