Canada Scion FR-S Price?

I went to my local Toyota/Scion dealership today in B.C, and was asking information about the FR-S, the guy told me that it was supposed to be a February release but now has been delayed to late spring/early summer launch.

But when i ask for the price the guys told me that is was going to be
28 000-30 000$. and he was 100% sure.

This goes with what Jeff Lang said about the fine print of the Canadian scion fr-s contest.

Yeah, anyone can. It's not an official number so it's useless.

NEXT!

If the FRS is 28-30k, the BRZ will be ~31k here. The WRX starts at 31.5k in Canada, so the BRZ should be around 25k in the states. FRS should cost lest than BRZ, therefore the FRS should be <25k in USA. Just my guestimate.

There is nothing this car has that is worth WRX money.
It wont be priced that close. This car was price under the genesis coupe
Money in other countries.

Besides that sounds like the typical dealer
Trying to get a lot of money from the first idiot that
Comes in asking for the car.

so...op starting a new thread for another non-official price?

i am almost sure this will be the price range for the fr-s, but...still, its not official number.

at that price, they will sell alot less, but at least they will make good profit from it and you will not see it at each street corner.

I'm Praying this is true, if not, the same price.

Now way this car will be that expensive in canada unless it is loaded with hids, push start and leather alcantara seats and fog lights and even then $26k to $27k can. Don't believe the dealers because even scion don't know what the price is yet. They are still trying to figure that out.

They know what the price is. Just because we don't know doesn't mean they don't. Scion will release the price to dealers when they are ready... it takes time to print sales material, shoot and edit commercials, determine which accessories will offer the highest profit margin, etc. The price was most likely determined around the time of the reveal if not sooner.

Toyota has been selling cars for a little while now... I think they have things figured out. ;)

If the price is anywhere near $28k I'll cancel my pre-order and buy a 2013 Genesis Coupe.

these are two different cars! You're comparing apples and oranges.

Seems to me like you just want a car, i suggest a ford focus, they are probably the best daily drivers out there for the money.

Giccin 01-27-2012 02:34 PM

This is probably the 6th thread I've seen about someone "guessing" the price of the dealer. -_-

Unless you have OFFICIAL numbers from a more credible source than the dealer--I would have to say these threads are useless, misleading, and creating unnecessary stress.

LOL what a duche type response.

Your allowed to be into the FR-S and still care about budget, we all dont have cash flowing out our asses.

If the car is priced around $25,000 CAD before taxes in, Its more likely to work for the average person.

Much more then that and its probably not worth the money. They'll make less sales but more money per sale.

Like "pastuch", I'll be cancelling my pre-order if the pre-taxed price is over $25,000.

The dealer I spoke to told me nothing has been firmed up but the price going around the block is near $25,000.

Take it with a grain of salt.

I hate that were not going to know the price till june.

Rediculess

7thgear 01-27-2012 02:42 PM

canceling your order is one thing

saying that "id rather get a genesis" is telling me that this person thinks these cars are in competition.
