Switchback signals, which bulbs did I actually want?

I ordered some bulbs thinking all switchback bulbs functioned the same, but it turns out that's not quite the case.

The bulbs I got flash white/amber when flashing if the parking lights or head lights are on, and just regular amber when not.

What I wanted was this:

Can anyone point me to a vendor that has the correct style bulbs, it would be greatly appreciated!

I got my bulbs from @Precisionleds, who I believe offer one of the brightest turn and drive light. The ones in the video are from @JWMotoring. HID Powerhouse (@KI_ZN6) also offers the same bulb as JWM I believe. @autolismo also has the same bulbs as Precision, but they are in Canada. Automationled (@jjdrivesajazz) has some different bulbs which appear to be pretty equal to Precision and Autolismo. @Diode Dynamics and @F-T may have some bulbs too.

I think I summed up all of the forum sources.

I just finished installing my 60 smd 7443 switchbacks earlier today and they work perfectly, plenty bright in my opinion. White when switched to parking or headlights on and they always flash amber, and I also used a LED blinker relay number CF18-08 to successfully fix hyper blink.

I got mine from @JWMotoring (the vendor of the lights in the second video) because of his reviews, price, and fitment. A lot of people have had problems with switchbacks staying in place or even going into the socket. His are a direct fit and a great price, even with the relay.

Thanks guys, the bulbs I got fit perfectly (once the lens was clearanced a bit for them to get in), I just didn't realize they flashed white/amber instead of solid white or flashing amber. Brightness is fine too, I don't need something bright enough to be seen from space :D

AFAIK the switchbacks ALL comprise of a white running light circuit with an amber turn signal /4 way circuit

^^ Watch the videos, the bulbs I got are white when on constant, but flash white/amber when signalling. The second video (what I thought I was getting) shows that they're white when on constant but flash amber/off when signalling.

The second video was from my tester with our bulbs. I'm not sure what he did because they do not function that way with normal use.

I do have that version that you're looking for n the works now. It should blink amber when you use your signals. At least it does on the other cars that I've tried it on.

I expect them to be in stock in about 1 month.

Got mine from v-LEDs.com they have an FR-S, so they can help with any issues you have.

Are these legal to have? Or will cops pull you over for being overly bright?

I don't know about Wisconsin, but in CA I don't have any trouble. They just look like fog lights, but blink amber like they have to. Audi LED daytime running lights are the same way.

Turn wheels to give you more room. Remove fender liner, change bulbs, reinstall fender liner, repeat for other side.
