ZETA Performance Cat-back Exhaust Review by FRSFrank (Video/Sound Comparison)

Let me begin by saying thank you to Zeta Performance for providing an all around great buying experience. From start to finish they excelled my expectations for service and quality. I hate when I purchase a product that does me no good or I feel it could have been better.

For $785 out the door I got their Polished Stainless Cat-back, Stage 2 Stainless Steel Filter, and the Silicone Intake Tube. I was a little nervous spending that much on a product which doesn't have too many reviews or videos available to watch. But the all the high resolution pictures had me sold. I really wanted the atomized (go look at it!) finish, but cheaped out for the stainless steel. Which is still really good looking.

I ordered my exhaust Thursday and impatiently sent an email asking if it would ship Friday. I received two emails Friday afternoon. One was a computer generated notification of shipment and the other was a personally sent email from a representative. Both emails had a tracking number and the latter even said that UPS picked it up. This reassurance goes a long way towards satisfying an impatient customer! I received the item Monday well packaged and with an envelope containing my invoice, a business card, and some stickers.

I raced to my mechanic and had him install it (in 12 minutes!). The first time it turned on I was immediately impressed and glad I went with this system. The lower RPM's are nice and growly under slow acceleration, once you climb into the higher RPM's the tone compliments the engine roar nicely. It does not sound ricer and is much more refined.

I would recommend this system to someone who daily drives their vehicle and wants the little extra presence on the street without overdoing it. Which is really easy to do considering EVERYONE looks at our cars..

Below is a video I made to compare stock with JDM tips to their Cat-back + Stage 2 Filter + Silicone Intake:

Thanks for reading and I hope I helped at least someone!

Any plans for a header? I am in love with the sound of this exhaust but am having a hard time deciding which header I would pair it with.

@FRSFrank , thanks for the great write-up and video with the sound comparison! Also, glad that you like our intake components, as well as our catback exhaust!!!

We are testing out our header, as well as the over-pipe and front pipe. ;)

If ZETA releases the header, over-pipe, and mid-pipe, I will most likely settle for those to keep brand integrity. I believe sticking with one brand for similar modifications to prevent fitment and reliability issues from arising.

Hopefully they keep with the idea that louder =/= better. Good gains and a reasonable roar would sell me.

I have the same exact setup.. silicone intake pipe, stage 2, stainless cat back and I could have not said it any better myself. After looking at just about every cat back on the market for our cars, I came to the conclusion that this system offers the best dollar/quality/performance ratio out there. Not often do I buy a product that I am just blown away by. The fact that this system adds great looks and sound without sounding too loud or ricey and can be driven and enjoyed everyday is amazing. I was afraid when I initially bought the system that it would be too quiet, but once you actually have it on your car you realize just how perfect the system is in every way. It's probably the best daily driver exhaust for the money that you can buy and the quality is outstanding. Their customer service alone is top notch and worthy of everyone's notice.

Now, bring on that UL header/overpipe/front pipe! :burnrubber:

That'd be good as I do really like the design of your catback system and it is very good value for money. Mixing and matching exhaust components without knowing the impact is a bit of a hit and mainly miss affair. Because from what I can tell it is very easy to butcher a nice sounding catback system by modifying the exhaust upstream. Slightly off topic but are the stock jdm tips compatible with your exhaust?

Frank, that really is a well made video. That's about the best comparison I've seen/heard.

Once question that isn't covered in the video, how's the drone (if any) during highway cruise?

Gary, there simply is none... I put a video up on one of the other threads of me just cruising at around 65-70. Once you get up over 3,000 the exhaust is barely noticeable until you give it gas.

Sold! Once again, thanks for the info and input.

I've been trying my damndest to decide on what cat back I want and came across zeta. Really liked the looks and I saw the comparison video a few days ago. I can only guess it sounds even better in person. Thinking I might go with @ZetaPerformance.
