10.5" wide tire possible?!?

I went to talk to one of my friends who work at the scion dealer ship and said that if you lower the frs about an inch or inch in a half, you can actually fit a 10.5" width tire...is that a little too much LOL.

That being said, should someone ever try that (I'm not saying that they won't), will it throw off that driving feeling because of the huge traction gained by the wider tire?

Why would you even listen to someone that has never touched the car? We have no idea what will fit in the wheel wells.

I wouldn't believe him unless your friend was some kind of master mechanic for Toyota

I have been trying to get the wheel width and offset that Greddy used. I will call Mackin/Rays and see if they will let me know what they did.

Jesus... they went 19's?! Good from a show standpoint but performance wise I wouldn't go past 17, even 18 would be pushing it.

Yeah I'm really curious now. Much appreciated. I'm just waiting.. Sorry if I came off sounding like a noob.

Honestly, good point...why would you need to lower the car to fit wider tires? I'm pretty sure with the low profile tires, it would make sense to lower the car to be rid of the gap between fender and tire. I could be wrong though.

It's complete overkill on a stocker, but will be relevant for some.

With work any size wheel will fit front and rear

Seeing the GReddy FRS w/9.5's in the rear makes it seem almost impossible to go another 1" wider.

I won't say it can't be done but at the same time I don't want to mention anything that starts with the letters H and F! That might strike a couple of nerves here! :bellyroll:
