Engine Swaps and Kit Cars!
 

I have always had a thing for swapped beasts and crazy kit cars. I hope that down the line I will have the resources and time to tackle one of these projects. I was wondering if anyone else has any favorites that they hope to complete one day.

My dreams, an LSX powered Miata or RX7 or pretty much anything by Factory Five but more than likely their GTM racer.

I share your feelings on engine swaps. Just finished a 240Z with a SR20DET. That's replacing a cast iron inline 6 with an all aluminum, turbocharged 4-cylinder. More power, less weight, better weight distribution. Not a unique swap, but a good one. My most unique swap was the opposite: A Datsun 510 with a turbocharged inline 6:

Nice 240 swap. Another one I love is a 270z with an LSX dropped in. As you can probably tell I have a thing for LS engines lol.

I've always wanted a Caterham 7 with an F20C. I just can't afford right now to spend that much on a car I can't daily drive.

The first place concept looks pretty cool from the rear. If you google it though images of the front come up and its pretty nasty.

I would love to do an old Datsun Roadster with an SR20VE.

Cobra kit car would be pretty sweet too, those are head turners no matter what. I'd want to do it with something stupid like an Ecoboost 4 crate or something.
