Uh, I feel like this is too much of a biased forum to be asking such a question. Do you really think someone will come in here and say get an IS300 over the FR-S?

That is true, that's why I posted this thread in 2 forums. :D

It all kinda depends on your budget and what you want/need. I'm guess you aren't looking for super practical.
I personally didn't buy a wrx/sti because of insurance and fuel consumption. IS300's are getting a bit old nowa days and always struck me as the "boy racer" of the lexus lineup.
I say keep it in the family and either go the cheap route and get something like an MR-2 or spend some money and get an FR-S. Or be practical and get a golf GTI.

I'm not really looking or something super practical, but sill being practical if that makes sense lol. :iono: And that is true about the IS, it is getting old. The one I'm looking at now is an '03 with 140,xxx miles. But it done up very nicely. I wouldn't got for an MR2 just cause it's a 2 seater. But if I did, it'd be a 2nd gen. And I'm not a big fan of european cars. :scared0016:

IS300 is a nice sedan, but I6 is gas guzzler. I would get WRX/STI (haweye) if I'm on the market for a car with limited budget.

How bad is the IS with gas? And still now sure which gen of the WRX/STI to get.

Actually I raced against my friend's Celica. I even drove it too, it's a nice car but it doesn't have that awesome driving feeling.

Was it a GT A/T? I have a GT-S 6SPD and raced my friend that had an FR-S doing a 45 roll, I was a fender ahead most of the race and we were dead even til 110 when we both started slowing down. But I'm pretty sure he coulda won if he revved out more and shifted better. And I know the FR-S has a better driving feeling, test drove one awhile back. :burnout:
