Am I the only one......
Am I the only one that is really interested in forced induction, but is waiting for warranty to run out?
Plus, wouldn't it be a good idea to wait until there is PROVEN reliability coming from the guys running forced induction? I dont know, the more people I talk to, say that I should just go all in right now instead of wait.... |
Im doing the same....I want to see the long term also
|
I'm waiting till at least I've paid the car off which is another year at least. I probably shouldn't be but I'm surprised at how much the tuning costs. I remember tuning many a ODB0/1 Hondas for about $10 each lol.
I've never street-tuned anything this expensive/high compression/dual fuel system before and don't intend to. |

Going to wait out the warranty.
Also going to wait for the FI options to be explored more fully with some time for extended driving tests. I kind of like my fuel consumption as it is, so not feeling that much compulsion to mod. My tablet is still under warranty, so that's stock as well. |
I am interested. Was hoping for a factory option by now.
Not to bitter about it, but this is the only thing the car is missing, for me. |

Any major mods for me will be after the car is paied.
I've modded plenty of cars before on credit... NEVER AGAIN. Anyway, I personally think it's better to mod it after you are used to the car, if you mod it the first year you have it you'll end up selling it faster and get bored. Remember the old saying? 1. Buy. 2. Mod. 3. Sell. Rinse and repeat. |
Not really waiting, but have not bought yet. I just am not sure if I really need all that power for street use. I don't track it, so doubtful. I am truly worried that I will wind up with too much motor for my daily fun driving and instead of pushing it, be backing off everytime I hit it hard. Thinking will take away a lot of fun factor. Just on ropes...how hard is going to be to sell the thing if I don't like its performance. You lose the tune money, have to retune when get rid of it, blah blah blah...

I'm probably not going to go with forced induction at all. First mod for me is going to be a big brake kit. Other than that, I probably won't touch the engine. It's more cost effective to drop another engine in this car, so if I do decide I want more power, that's the route I'll take, and that won't be for years.

Warranty/long term effects seem o be the case for the majority of us
|
I would wait.
You will be surprised at the results after a couple of years from now. |
Warranty is my reason as well. I can afford to go FI but cannot afford to pay for a new motor if mine is destroyed.
