Clunk sound with disengaging clutch up driveway

Has anyone noticed this on the frs/brz. I would put it in first, drive up the driveway slowly with the clutch engaged. I would be around 2.5-3k rpm and when I go to disengage the clutch before I enter my garage, there is a clunk/thud sound. How do I avoid this? This is my third manual car and hasnt happened with the others. thanks.

Hope this helps. Seems to be common with RWD cars

I tried searching a bit. Found mostly related to putting into first. My sound comes from pressing the clutch right before i enter my garage. Doesn't sound healthy, didnt happen with my old rwd car. Hope its normal.

Might just be drivetrain lash which is considered normal. Also this transmission is a very mechanically loud one. It is because of its performance nature and a lot of people like it. If you are really concerned take to your dealer and replicate the sound so they can make a decision on what is going on. With something like this it is almost impossible to diagnose over the forums. Good luck.
