I've seen Sti covers for it on subarus website, which is basically a leather cover with red stiching. You might check that out

that's pretty cool, i dislike the plastic simple look. I understand its reason but its not that much to make a key look better lol

Is there a place to get them that won't cost me $150?

dustinlenguyen 04-20-2013 07:19 PM

Japan Parts has them for $50ish.

Too bad it is missing the panic button.... I was tempted too.

I'm still debating. It's cheaper to buy a couple and protect the fob from getting destroyed in your pocket with keys instead of buying a new one, but it's still a $50+ leather cover for a remote that'll get wrecked from your keys...and it doesn't even say BRZ!:D

I got a carbon fiber style cover off of ebay:

I've got no need for buttons except on rare occasions.

Search for "jdm smart key cover carbon fiber"

Looking around it seems that the BRZ key fob is the same as the prius key fob.
This is all the covers i know about some are generic and are only about 15 dollars, others are STI and are about 150. Personally i like the JPM and the man-engineering ones.

You don't need to lock your car or use the trunk often? :iono:

The Limited can be locked by touching the outside of the door handle with the key in your pocket. Trunk opens when you have the key in your pocket and you try to physically open the trunk. There is also a button inside the car that opens the trunk. Ive used my buttons very little.

SkullWorks 04-23-2013 03:44 PM

with a limited the buttons really are nearly un-used, only time i use mine is if I have a passenger and it isn't a female, that way they can get in at the same time and i don't have to wait.

(obviously ladies get the door opened and held)
