factory window tint?
 

i was driving today and i noticed (i have had the car 5 days now) the everything out the front windsheild has a blue hue and all the other windows have a bronze tint. is there anykind of factory uv film? just curious if i am the only one that notices it.

Not that I've read about anywhere...my Jeep came with tinted side glass, it was fairly obvious even though it was light...I didn't notice that with the BRZ. It was probably a reflection more than anything.

The side and back have some kind of tint. The front I can't tell if it has one or not.

The Toyobaru twins come with 75% tint all around from the factory.

95% so whatever tint you get will stack and will actually be 3-5~ lower. EX: 20tint job becoming like 18~.

Use polarized sunglasses and you can see the UV tint for sure, it will look checkered. Every car pretty much has this now.

They are definitely factory tinted. Just not enough for living in the southwest with the sun baking any car that just has factory tinting.

I had the sides and rear window tinted even more and the difference was very noticeable the minute I got into the car afterwards. That combined with the factory optional front windshield folding cover and the car stays cool in the sun.

In California, any tint that changes visibility to under 70% is illegal. My old Accord Coupe had about 50% I think and I got pretty lucky with it since I didn't get pull over. BMW drivers aren't so lucky, usually.

I think I'll stick with the factory window tint and not deal with the police and fix-it tickets.
