Recommendation for red out tails
 

Hey y'all.

Looking for recommendations on paint shops that can red out the tails. Don't want to do the VHT route since I will probably screw that up and don't want to do overlays either.

Who do you recommend? Price?

Been planning to get mine done by @frsguy707 for a while but never got to it. I've seen him done both his own and @PMok and they both look pretty good.

Amen to that, Romie's tails look great. I bought the first pair he did because I think he wasn't 100% satisfied with them, but for me they are far better looking than the original clear look. Practice makes perfect, because the 2nd set he did for his car are fantastic.

If you want to go the pro paint shop route, it'll be a lot more expensive. Wheeldude took their FR-S to RJ Paint Shop in Pleasanton to get theirs painted. I believe it cost $400 or more but they also look fantastic.

I've seen his in person. They look good.

Im back & forth between Cali & Phoenix these days so unfortunately my car sees alot of use. Guess thats why I bought this particular car! :D Anyways Im a pretty fair painter so maybe Ill give it a shot 1 of these days.:party0030: Thanks for the info tho @Livermoore! Romezilla...:clap: Man, have you thought about trying to add any inner tailight chop/painting to your rep? Inner gloss black seems to be my favorite stock mod out there, but maybe red on top of that might be the fix? :D
Its either Tom's or one of these painting mods.. decisions!!

Can I just say AWESOME! Super happy and I can only get crappy night pictures with the cell phone in the garage. But they look great on the Hot Lava. Can only imagine what they will look like in the day time.

Light does not appear to be diminished AT ALL. Super happy. Big thanks to @frsguy707 for doing the work. I would recommend him to all. I will allow him to answer all questions. He did do an added coat of candy to darken them but they are spectacular on the Hot Lava. I am sure he could post more pictures if requested, as will I.

Hey thanks mike I'm really glad you like them. I'm glad I decided to go darker by adding an extra coat of candy, they stand out nicely on the hot lava. Lets see some pictures of them in the day. Enjoy! :thumbsup:

Man those look so damn good. Gonna have to do this soon. I remember when I tried to do this on my first car.. didn't turn out half as good as those! Then again, I spent like an hour doing it, with toy model spray paint :bonk:. Better leave it up to someone who knows what they're doing this time.
