2014 GT-R Photoshoot

Hey guys. I lurk these forums quite a bit, as eventually I'm going to be picking up a BRZ. They're just too much fun to drive to not own one, and I've been following the BRZ's and 86's progress ever since it was a rumor.

In the meantime though, I thought I'd post up some pictures of a shoot I did last week with my friends GT-R he just picked up. It was quite the experience to say the least driving around in it. I hope you all enjoy!

LOVE THAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!! just wish they would make a manual version... I would sacrafice the 0.2-0.5 seconds slower 0-60 time any day of the week for a manual over the flappy paddles.

Thank you! I did the shoot with a Canon 60d, using the 17-40mm F4, L series lens. For editing I used Photoshop CS6.

I think I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I could afford it, but it lacks character to me. Its a car purely built to beat numbers, which it does with flying colors. It doesn't have much of a personality though, if that makes any sense lol.

It makes perfect sense to me, sometimes a car can have tons of character and are pieces of crap and sometimes great cars that post amazing lap times have no character.

It's a hard thing to do to make a car have character, these is no formula for it.

Like that E30 you have, those cars ooze character and i have no idea why.

Haha that's exactly it. Funny thing is, before the E30 I had a 2011 WRX. Fun car and all, but there was just something missing from it. I went on a trip down to socal with it and actually ended up autocrossing his E30. A little less than a year later and I purchased it from him and sold the WRX.

With looking at a lot of the new cars on the market today, I've come to the conclusion that the best formula for character is old age. Of course that's not always true, and the FR-S/BRZ proves that. I can only imagine what these cars will be like in 10-15 years though.

Not bad i think the clarity adjustment is a little high though accentuating the shadows a little too much. The transition from light to dark could be a little smoother but looks good nonetheless.

Also have you considered putting borders around your photos? Just a thought.

I appreciate the criticism. I see what you mean about the clarity adjustment. In this instance it sort of fit the look that I was going for, but I probably did go a little overboard haha.

Ya know, I haven't really thought about it much. I'll definitely play around with the idea. Thanks again.
