STi Lip vs Seibon Lip

Which one would you go for?

donutfilling 04-16-2013 02:59 PM

seibon makes multiple lips, so... which one are you looking at?

boredom.is.me 04-16-2013 02:59 PM

It's your car.

Depends on the finish you want really. CF or black plastic. I say STi but that's because I'm bias =D

Attachment 34167

Thanks haha, yeah I've had my eye on both of them and they look almost exactly identical. The Seibon one might be a little slimmer, have you had trouble over bumps?

DSOmegaX 04-16-2013 03:58 PM

None so far. My car is dropped on sti springs as well which are just over 0.5" lower. Together I have about 3 inch clearance at the tip of the fangs and just under 3 at the corners.

Neither

Properly made and engineered.

Any pic for underneath of the lip?

ICantAffordAnLFA 04-16-2013 05:45 PM

Lots of fasteners if that's what you are looking for

DSOmegaX 04-16-2013 06:46 PM

Yeap this lip requires the most drilling and hardware of any out there most likely. The end result though is flawless fit and finish. The entire lip is flush with the bumper, no gaps or fitment issues whatsoever. My friend who was helping me with the install was so impressed by the fasteners (and hes installed pretty much every usdm kit so far for this car) that he actually wants to order some and apply them to other lip kits

Hanakuso 04-16-2013 08:24 PM

I'm not sure if it applies to the BRZ, but i've heard many other STI lips hold up very well to speedbumps, scratches, etc.
