Grad Rebate Question

I'm going in to the dealer this week, and I was wondering what paperwork you guys (or gals) brought with you for the Grad Rebate? I am within the 6 month window for graduation, but obviously I don't have a copy of my nonexistent diploma to bring in with me.

What did you bring? A copy of your transcript or an intent to graduate form or something else?

I had to take my diploma. And I believe it's 2 years, not 6 months. I know I was more than a year out unless they changed something.

It's within two years after graduation or 6 months before if you already have secured a job in the industry.

i took in a proof of employment letter and my transcript

Diploma and pay stubs for me, the rebate is contingent on you being gainfully employed.

Looking at the website it says the following:
HOW TO QUALIFY[1][2]
In order to qualify you need:
Proof that you have graduated recently or will graduate soon.
Proof that you have a job lined up.

Edit: If I was buying before graduating I'd probably bring an unofficial transcript and an offer letter from the company I chose to work for.

I have pay stubs from my company (I started working here about a year ago and will continue after I graduate). I guess an unofficial transcript could work, but I'd be surprised if the dealership could make heads or tails of it.

I did need a paystub too now that you mention it.

That's just a financing thing though, to make sure you could at least theoretically make the payments.

I got the discount and I haven't graduated yet. I printed off the sheet that said I was approved for graduation and my transcript though. That seemed to work.

Where are you thinking of buying from? Most dealers wouldn't know the difference unless your transcripts actually said official or unofficial right at the top. Used the grad rebate when I was buying and they didn't care about transcripts but wanted to make a copy of the actual diploma and pay stubs.

For your scenario, unofficial transcripts that have some sort of note showing you at on track to graduate within 6 months and either a pay stub or letter from your job that you have or will be working with in the near future.

I'm getting it from David Maus Toyota in Sanford. Going there tomorrow to work out the deal (the car has been ordered, just waiting for it to come in).

I'm trying to find something that will show when I'm on track to graduate, but it's hard to find.

Picture of Diploma (I emailed it to them and they printed it out)
Pay stub
Transcript

Like others said.. Since you still have 6 months to graduate, you might have to provide them with different documents such as letter from your job/school that you will do fine/finish school within the time frame.

I tried to use my transcript. Dealer stated that Toyota financial wanted something else when they sent it in.

I had to go to my college registrar office and have them type up a enrollment verification forum. On the page they also stated my "anticipated graduation date"

Also if you have any student loans in poor standing, they won't grant you the rebate.
