Request DIY burnt exhaust tips

Anyone know how to do this, and if it lasts without oxidizing and turning brown? I've heard of people taking a blow torch to their exhaust tips to make them look like the titanium burnt tips, but I've also heard of them turning brown.

you could always buy burnt tips and have them welded on
