@Opposed - I met your relative this morning at Discount Tire in Eden Prairie; he's the General Manager.
Just wanted to everyone here know how nice of a guy he was. If you're looking to get knowledgable people about tires, definitely hit him up! I know I'll be buying my next set through him. |
Hi Guys. If anyone has a stock set of FR-S or BRZ wheels, I'm looking to buy some. They don't have to be mint. With or without tires is OK. Please PM or email (avusblue -at- yahoo -dot- com) with what you have and what you'd like for them. Thanks!

I just feel like venting a bit, it's been a stressful day today, pity me if you will. It's about my experience with Morries of Brooklyn Park Subaru regarding the GPS/Navigation TSB.
The first week when I called for an appointment for the TSB, I told them that I will be bringing in my car for two TSB repair and for him to get all the parts before I arrived(one for popping sound in the trunk which they tried to fix but couldn't and the other the GPS). He told me over the phone that, "If that's the case, we should have the parts here". They have my VIN # on file and it is required to perform the TSB under my VIN# because obviously I have the issue with my Navi so I assumed that they already knew and ordered a few parts already for their first few batches of BRZ. Hell I even told him to get the parts for me before I arrive for my first day appointment so I wont have to make two trips. I arrived the first week, they did not have the brackets/SD card/or antenna, nothing. And they did a horseshit job on the rear popping trunk job(Just made the hole bigger). They claimed that they ordered all the parts and that it should arrive within a week. One week later, I called and made a second appointment, arrived today, and I waited there for 3 hours because he couldnt find me when I was scouting the GT-R at the Nissan dealer on the other side 2 1/2 hours ago. They didn't do anything to the car because they did not have everything that is required per the TSB, they only ordered the Antenna and bracket and did not know they needed to order the SD Card. They even made me fill out the SD Card form(pg.2 of the TSB) because they didn't know how to fill it out or I had to(?). I swear, I dont usually get angry or moody from dealership visits but these guys have just been pushing it. Once I get this SD Card shit sorted out I will be heading over to the Bloomington Subaru because I have heard a few successful stories from BRZ owners there. The only reason why I go back to Morries is because I have a very good price on oil/filter changes for the first three years of ownership, cant complain about that. To summarize it up, I really dont think Morries service department knows what a TSB is. If you plan on fixing a TSB, dont bring it to these guys, or go ahead and bring it to them since they already have awareness now with a frustrated customer(me). I will request a free oil change on my next follow up and see if they honor my $20-$30 wasted round trip mileage. ps Why keep going back? I have leverage but only this one last time. |
My experience with Morrie's Subaru is limited. I've visited them for oil changes and for parts. The oil change discount doesn't save you that much especially if you choose to go with synthetic. I'll probably just do the next oil change myself as it will allow me to choose my own oil.
For some reason, I don't really notice the clunking in my trunk. I'm not actively trying to listen for it either, so maybe that's why. I'm sure once the coilovers are installed, the NVH will increase so much that I won't even notice it lol. The sticky tires already increase highway noise a bit as it is. As far as the GPS issue, I hardly use it. It doesn't bother me. I try to avoid getting anything done at dealerships unless I really have to. This applies to the TSBs as well. Unless it's going to negatively impact the reliability of the car, I'm not going to bother with it. :iono: Edit: I did call Morrie's parts today to order some crush washers for the transmission and differential drain/fill plugs. The parts guy had a difficult time getting the part numbers, which is understandable since the car is still relatively new. I searched online and just provided the parts guy the part numbers for the crush washers. |
@Black Tire, let me know when you're going to install the Spiegler SS lines. I just ordered a set and should receive them sometime next week. I plan to install them myself.
