please help - accident in pasadena on 4/1

hi everyone, i was recently involved in an accident in Pasadena on April 1st around 10am on the intersection of colorado and hudson. the other party basically ran a red light through the intersection. it was not a light in transition but just a straight up red light where other cars had been stopped waiting for it to turn green for them. unfortunately the other driver's car got in front of mine and i hit him after slamming on the brakes. despite him admitting fault at the scene and there being an independent witness the other insurance company is saying he is not admitting fault and that the independent witness is being unclear. i was driving a dgm brz and the other party was driving a black acura tl with nevada plates. if anyone happened to witness this accident or knows anyone who might have please pm me. much appreciated.

You can see if the security cameras at Community Bank got it on tape, or go in and see if any of them saw it. Same goes for the record shop and whatever that building across from the bank is.

i checked all the local businesses around the intersection as well as asked the city about any cameras. unfortunately none record where where the accident happened :(

not to sound like a troll, but what really makes you think someone on this forum witnessed the accident or knows someone who does. the chances of that happening are almost non existent.

The protocol in those situations are to call the police and get them to fill out a report at the time of the accident.

Time to invest in a dash-cam. It's hard to get away with fault when you rear-end someone; regardless of how it happened. Same thing happened to me when I totaled my last car. Guy in front of me was trying to take a light and then saw a police car and he slammed on the brakes, mine locked and I slid into him. No way of me getting away from being at fault.

The only time I've heard of someone get out of fault from rear ending someone is when someone behind you pushes you into another car, and generally they have to have a DUI on top of that. This is in Florida at least.

Damn I actually work 1-2 minutes walking distance from that intersection. Sorry but didn't see anything.
