Bespoke screen resolution

Does anyone know what the resolution on the Bespoke system's screen is? I'm working on a software package (and some raspi hardware) that will use the stock display to do some really, really cool stuff for us. I can't find the actual specs on the screen anywhere.

Also, is the BRZ nav's screen the same as the Bespoke?

Interested in what you can do.

right now, the goal is to satisfy my own selfish desires to not have boost and afr gauges cluttering up my interior. everything runs on a development board for now (raspberry pi), and uses any standard ELM327 USB adapter to provide OBD2 data. the first goal is to cover the simple case: obd2-fed boost and afr gauges on any composite or hdmi-compatible display (including the stock bespoke display with a harness), which is pretty much complete aside from the interface design.

after that, the interface can be extended to display anything available over obd2, or any aftermarket sensor wired to the GPIO pins, accelerometer data, etc. further down the road, you could add j2534 passthru support (with a mini-vcs or openport cable instead of the ELM), 3g, gps, pretty much anything. i plan to use it as a ghetto lo-jack with 3g and gps once i'm satisfied with the gauges and logging.

i guess right now it's kind of like an HKS CAMP system, only without the insane price and proprietary sensors, and with a slicker interface (if i can get someone to design one lol).

if anyone would like to contribute, i'd love a pm. i'm in need of good graphic design and anyone who knows ruby can commit to the project (yes, ruby. i'll explain later lol).

edit: here's an example of my terrible design skills. help!

Wish I had something to contribute, but sounds like an awesome project. Any way to read touch-screen data from the HU for the raspi?

Not sure on the resolution of that specific unit, although i'm not sure if scion will continue using the same Bespoke unit or using a new one in the future. It looks like the Series 10 has a different Bespoke unit in it. I wonder if that will replace the current bespoke unit for 2014 model year?

Not sure about the bespoke unit, but the FT Nav unit on the BRZ is 720*576 pixel ... Give that a go and see if it works.

Apparently the actual resolution is 480x272. See http://www.**************.com/9-suba...m-480x272.html for more details.

Hello Richard:

Thank you for your patience as we researched the screen resolution for your 2013 BRZ. Further research with our manufacturer was necessary.

We have discovered that the screen resolution information in the 2013 BRZ owner's manual is incorrect. The correct screen resolution is 480 x 272. This has been brought to the attention of our Publications Department.

Thanks, Richard, for bringing this to our attention. Have a great day and please let us know if you need any future assistance.

Sincerely,

John J. Mergen

Cool. Not a lot to work with there, but glad we at least have the accurate resolution.
