debadging
 
i've seen quite a few pics of ppl in other country debadging the car and i quite like this emblem instead of the toyota one:

anyone here has tried this and how would one go about it? how are these badges normally attached?

Double sided tape i think.

Badges are glued on with some sort of putty/silicone type substance.
Use a hairdryer to warm it up or leave the car in the sun for a while.
When the putty is soft use fishing line or something similar and gently saw through it.
Caution there are 2 pins behind both front and rear badges so be careful as not to break em. After that i rebadged with double sided autotape

do the pins go through the metal? I wouldn't want to leave any visible holes

They do but not all the way. U shouldn't be able to see holes if u position the new badge correctly
