cmarks20's Audio Install

Now that I can actually make a thread; here's my audio system so far. Big thanks to Elias and Lo at Unique Audio (http://uniqueaudiova.com/) - they did an awesome job and kept me up-to-date every step of the way.

I wasn't looking for migraine-inducing bass. I wanted something clear with tight bass that wouldn't drown out the rest of the speakers. I decided on 2 JL Audio 8W3v3-4 subs. They only needed .3 cubic feet of space per sub, so I managed to keep most of my trunk space. The red perfectly matches the stock interior accents. The black portion is actually a panel that can be taken out, so I can still put down the back seat (worst design ever on the back seat, btw). The floor was completely redone and split, so I still have access to the spare without having to take the enclosure out. Side note - there's no way you can fit that floor panel in the back seat...

I'm using a JL Audio XD700/5 amp paired with an Audio Control LC2i to offset the factory HU's processing. This setup works great with the subs and allows some room to grow without having to figure out where to stick another amp.

I'll be adding the T7019A Android 2.3 Capacitive (at least I hope it is) Touchscreen HU (@2forme got the wheels spinning) from Tradesolution HK and Focal components soon - most likely KR2s.

If you could, some pictures that are closer to the enclosure and the panel would be awesome!

I added you to the directory as well :D

No problem. I'll take some in the morning - it's dark out now. And thanks for the add

I couldn't find red suede at all, haha. Lo spent an entire day just tracking down the red carpet. Apparently, that trend has been over for a while now.

I could find red just not the right shade, I will eventually tho. I prefer suede over vinyl or carpet anyday.

I'll talk to Unique Audio and see where they got mine from.

I added close up pics showing the "beauty" panel off and the false floor space access.
