Tire Suggestions

Looking for tires for Rota G- Force. Was going to go with Hankooks, until I learned their only good for around 9000 miles. Looking for good tires that will last 20000k +

Continental ExtremeContact DW or Hankook Ventus V12 Evo.

I currently have a set of Dunlop StarSpec V1 and a set of V2 (one for track, one for street). I personally think the StarSpecs are too sticky, too expensive, too loud, and will wear out faster than the two I mentioned. On the track, they're phenomenal. I just can't see why anyone would want them for street use.

I plan to go with one of these two, when my street StarSpecs are finished.

Michelin Pilot Super sport are the only other really great option for longevity plus they have almost all of the performance of the Star specs/RS3. little pricey though

Add another tally to the Michelin super sports, they are great tires, ive had them on my m3 and frs currently. My co worker bought them for his e46 m3 and couldnt be happier

If you want 20K out of them your gonna need to look for 280 treadwear tires. That rules out all the sticky tires, so maybe look for some G-Force Sports (BFG)... i got 20k out of them on my evo and they can take a beating on track days without chunking.

It would be helpful to say what else you're looking for in the tire besides tread life to last 20,000k, because I'm sure the stock Primacy's probably would. I have 15,000 on mine plus 2 track days and only down 3/32 tread. If you're looking for sticky rubber to last 20,000k, well you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Looking for a grippy tire and looking for low tread wear is like buying a car with a V12 and wanting it to have good MPG.

Personally, i find that summer tires wear out faster then all seasons (Maybe because i'm driving crazy on those summer days?), so i'd go with all seasons judging my driving habits.

But even then, i still end up putting winter tires on the FRS.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Hankook RS3 can last 15-20k depending on your driving. I have tracked them twice and driven daily for approx 10k and they are at about 7/32. The BFG pro comp2 have gone through 6-7 track events and 10k and are at about the end of their life, but those events were abusive and they truly did their job.

Michelin will be my next try, because as previously mentioned, they are praised by high end vehicle owners like BMW and Mercedes.

its looking like the bfg rival is going to set the bar for this generation of tire. they seem to wear well and are likely the stickiest street tire this time around. its tough to say how long a tire is going to last without knowing what you plan to do with the car.

advan neova ad08 or bridgestone re 11 best bang for your buck for this car in its power range. They will last longer than what they say it all depends on how much rubber you burn moving off, burning out and parking lot spins/drifts. IF not , easily 20 000 with grip. My last ad08 lasted me around 18 000 and had more than 50 percent left. i harassed the hell out of em. yokohama is great. You pay for quality but it also depends on you.

are there even tires that last 20,000,000 miles??
:D

I like the bridgestones I'm saying hankook v12 for street use. A lot if Miata friends run em and they're fairly inexpensive too
