Long "Scion" sticker on back bumper
I just got the car last night, and it has the long "Scion" logo on the back bumper (right under the trunk). When I was reading about this in the past, it seemed like it was just a sticker, but I can't find an edge at all on it, and I'm worried if I try any harder I'm going to damage the paint. Is this a painted-on thing, or is there some product that I can use to get rid of it?
EDIT: Just for clarification, I'm not talking the Scion badge on the trunk lid, I'm talking about the word "SCION" on the back bumper behind the bottom trunk lid edge |
Its an applique/sticker. Personally, I wouldn't bother removing it, but if its really bothering you that much, take it back to the dealer and ask them to remove it.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me too much at this point. Just thinking it might at some point (I usually like as clean of a look as possible)

Is that your actual license plate, btw? I wanted to get something like that here in ohio, but apparently its already taken. |
Yeah, it's a protective cover to prevent the bumper from getting scratched when you load and unload the trunk. Somewhere in your paper work you'll probably find that it's something you paid for. You might as well keep it.

It is longer than you would think. The edge is up past the curve of bumper. If you rub your hand along the curve, you should easily be able to feel a difference of where it starts and stops. There is no harm in removing it as long as you hit it with some adhesive remover.
