Sms's Buddy Club Spec II Review
First of all I’d like to thank AAI Motorsports for hooking me up with this exhaust, I was in a hurry and bored as soon as my spring break started and wanted something to get my hands dirty with and enjoy. My main thoughts were that I’d get this exhaust as a temporary solution till I find one that I could settle with or until I go Turbo and have a bigger exhaust, but as soon as I turned the car on for the first time I knew it would stay for a bit longer time than expected.
PROS This exhaust was very lightweight especially considering it’s a full catback and not an axle back or muffler delete only Reasonably priced for the quality Sounds amazing and wakes up a slight rumble Loud CONS I'm going to admit I'm not a huge fun of the tip, its nice but it's not amazing (I think it's that way for a reason to have enough clearance with the piping :iono:) You’re left with a huge hole in the bumper Does slightly drone when you let go of the throttle Enough talking and off with the review Install on this exhaust was pretty easy and straightforward, and it was actually a joy. I backed the car onto rhino ramps and bolted off the factory exhaust system and the Buddy Club fit perfectly. As soon as I turned the car on I was amazed and my buddy had this look :confused0068:. I took no time and hopped on to take it for a drive around the neighborhood and boy was it joyful. The exhaust was loud but not obnoxiously loud to a point that people would mistake it for a Honda with a fart can; I took the car on the highway and did a 20 minute drive back home with it and the car was quite with cruise control. Yes it would drone at certain rpms or as u let it coast but doing 70~ with cruise control the car was subtle. After having the exhaust on for a over a month and with loads of hard driving it did get slightly louder and start to pop a bit as I rev it in-between shifts also the drone increased but not to a point were its annoying or unbearable. Now to the so called "Butt dyno" I won't be a complete idiot and swear that I got 15whp out of this catback exhaust because my main purpose out of this was a better sounding car but I do feel a slight difference it might be because this exhaust system was freaking light and is less restrictive.
