It's a Florida thing, sorry FL residents. Here's proof.

Look at the angle. It's lifted at the "front" instead of being angled downwards. Put your hand out the window at two different angles, it'll make sense.

Your analogy applies to an airplane wing if flipped, not a car wing designed by a guy with barely a high school diploma if even that.

This sounds correct. Exactly what I was thinking before I got to this post. Even though backwards, the concave surface is still facing up so there would still be downforce. Or lift toward the ground if that makes the physicists happy.

Please please someone stop this guy.... needs to learn mechanics101/car101! If you see him again, let him know whats up. Just a kind reminder and give him the link to this thread for our enjoyment! and record his reaction when you talk to him.

hey it may be an April fools joke? :bellyroll: he must have not gotten the memo that april fools is only the 1st and thought it was all month, so all us car forum member would ridicule him, then he comes out to the forum saying GOTCHA!

Maybe he's a hipster and wings facing forward are just too "mainstream".

jimmillion 04-11-2013 11:38 PM

or he drives with a lot of fat chicks, requiring the added lift....

shawnperolis 04-11-2013 11:42 PM

His car is bad and he should feel bad.

poor trunk has hole in it now. I wonder wtf the mechanics at the dealership say when he gets that Stealth aircraft service. OH the laughs they will have. Priceless

hsayani 04-12-2013 01:37 AM

Stock wheels + (likely) stock tires + wing is just quintessential Civic territory. It -looks- like he has a drop, so he went with springs and GT wing for his first two mods.

I'm all for people doing what they want to their cars, but there is personal choice, and bad taste...this one clearly falls into the latter category for many reasons.
