Anyone have a windshield replaced under warranty?
 

Turned my defrost on this morning and from the center of my defrost vent up about 3 inchs came a nice crack in my windshield... No rock chip was present... Called the stealership and told me to come in.... I guess the Service director has to look at it to do a claim on windshields under warranty and he was nowhere to be found?... Said they would call me.... :mad0259:

Interesting.. there was probably already a defect in the glass and it took a temp difference to make it crack. I would expect something like this to happen in freezing temps.

Hopefully they don't blame it on your strut brace.. ;)

No go they blamed it on a rock chip smaller then a baby spider 2 mm away from the crack....

I got the clear bra and window treatment... I got a rock chip 8 days after delivery and the windshield was replaced under warranty, but that's the warranty from perma plate... The company that makes the. Lear bra and diamond window treatment

Can you get me a link to this window treatment? I really want to look into this. I get a new window Monday and don't want to replace it again anytime soon.

I bought it from the dealership... If you talk to them they should know all about it

I was at the track when I notice a crack on my windshield. It starts from the top edge passenger side 8inches down. There's no signs of a rock chip so my guess is a stress crack from body flex . I'll bring it back to the dealer to so if its covered by the warranty.
