Alignment in GTA?

For those of you that are lowered on springs/coilovers, where did you go to get your alignment done?

It would be ideal if this place was open on weekends too.

Reputable places:

ALTECH
LEVEL AUTO
Speedstar

just to name a few...

Altech and Speedstar are my recommendations.

Altech or NV auto in hamilton depending on where you at

Can-alignment near Milton for four wheel alignment and corner balancing, Scott will setup your alignment to desired specs for your purposes. He's got tons of track/racing experience, which doesn't come cheap but you pay to play.

Altech is good but my shop just got a new alignment machine and specifically deal with modded and lowered cars to get them on the machine. Look up Automatrix, they are life savers! :D

Another vote for them. If you want a perfect alignment, and probably even some valuable advice on what specs are a good baseline, this is the place to go.

^^ Here.
Scott also sponsors amateur motorsports (CASC-OR), we need to support these folks! Also a no-brainer as he knows his stuff.

I would go there myself if I could!

Scott @ can-alignment is awesome. I haven't taken my FR-S there yet but he worked his magic on 3 of my cars (S13, 2005 STi, 2010 WRX) so far and I plan to bring my FR-S over there once I've collected a few parts.

Definitely knows his business and he races in CASC series etc so he lives it too.

I liked dealing with Scott from CanAlignment too. When i got the car post alignkent initially, the steering was a tiny bit off, but he fixed it no question and adjusted toe on my request again, because originally i specified something that wasnt right.

Lots of great suggestions here.

Does anyone know of a good reliable alignment shop in Durham region? I want to be able to do some work at home before hobbling to the alignment shop, and the shorter that trip is, the better.

Thanks in advance!

that_guy 09-05-2013 10:17 PM

The dealership can do a basic alignment if that's all your looking for. What others are suggesting here is having someone "tune" your setup so that the car does more than just track straight.

While I've never had work done at Can-Alignment, I've heard nothing but GREAT things from them. I'll probably head there to get mine done.

Awesome post guys. I've got an appointment with Scott @ can-alignment on Monday morning! Can't wait to see if my toe-in / out is what's causing the floaty front end feeling that my car has had since day one. I suspect it will :D
