Police profiling
 

I'm sure some of you have had the same frustration as me.....I got lot of tickets over the years, some were my fault and but most were flat out outrageous....I strongly believe the cops profiling you base on the cars you drive....I have been driving my 330i (stock) for 5 yrs w/o ticket and just the past yr and half I got 3 speeding ticks on my Accord and Prelude....1 example, couple months ago I was rolling about 75 on 91E along with flowing traffic then got pulled for over the 65 limit (yea SOCal limit now is 65, sad huh)....I told the pig I was driving the same as the rest why pulled me? He answered that from where he was he only saw me (yea i heard that a lot)....then I told him he was profiling my car and he said he'll write more on my car if I dont shut off....
3 weeks ago, in my Prelude, another pig pulled up to my side then flashed me over becasue I got tinted windows....I vented at the fool, are you kidding me, checked every car passes by you tell me how many of them are tinted? He said "I cant get them all at 1 time"....
It gets to the point I dont drive my '94 Accord anymore, it's like a pig magnet....every freaking time they passed by me, they gave me that dirty look...this sucks because my Accord turn heads every where I go....

I get pulled over a lot for speeding in my stock Yaris. Lol

But I've gotten out of all of them *knock on wood* since the same excuse was.. "I'm sorry officer my favorite Jam came on and I couldn't help myself."

Sounds like you're asking for it with the overly tinted windows and the bad attitude once you get pulled over.

Oh yea being a girl has that advantage, my sisters got away with it sometimes....but a dude, chances are slim to none.

Neyways.. my bf wants to be a CHP after getting in so many "Oh shit" moments on the 91, 55, 22 and 405.

People not checking their blind spots before changing lanes.. or changing 4 lanes at once. fff... -_-

Now, I havent been driving for as many years as you but I believe 65mph has always been the highway speed limit (as far as I can remember). But the best way to avoid cops is to obey the law and not drive cars that "turn heads" as you describe. That is why I always leave my cars stock or close enough to it. Hondas will always be looked at by cops because most of them are driven by young kids who have loud exhaust or like to street race, so it will continue to be an issue for you when driving your Accord.

Also, I know you might feel the need to defend yourself when a cop is writing you a ticket, but I would suggest you stay calm and not talk back to the officer. Their word is more powerful than yours so it won't do much to disrespect him in person. If you feel like your ticket was given unjust-fully, then take the ticket and fight it in court.

As far as tinted windows. There is a certain level you can tint it at but if a cop stopped you it's most likely because your car stands out, for what ever reason that may be. I just wear sunglasses if the sun bothers me that much.

I know the law, my tint is only 15%, not remotely dark like most....in the past I have tried from sympathetic to begging, didn't work....the car I drive got some to do with it...

Funny thing for me is, I've never got ticket in my car... BUT I've gotten ticket in my friends car. Once at Hawaii driving my friend's car. Another time going to Vegas w my friends. Rest of I've got pull over several dozen time, but never got ticket (yet anyways)... and by all means, I have luxury or nice car. Red & CF hood do stand out more than other cars

I drive to OC a lot on those 4 freeways and now at times I'm rolling 60 on the right lane.

Since your car has a CF hood, Altezza tails and a Buddy Club kit, that's enough for them to pull you over.

Are you new to modding cars? The whole JDM look took off way back when b/c it didn't make your car stick out like a sore thumb.

Its amazing how many more terrible drivers you spot when you're going at a gas-saving-ish speed.

My brother has a 350z but he was driving an integra for a while, stock and not in it's best shape, but he still got a lot of attention from cops. I think it's Hondas and Acuras that get the most attention for obvious reasons; but it's like that for any sports car, that's why it's better to follow all of the laws and be cautious when driving one.

it was built in 2000 to be a show car back then, got sponsored by various vendors like FBI and Overboost but in "04 I'm out of the game and have been driving it sparingly. One time I was pulled over at night, the cop wrote me up for the turbo but dude couldnt recognized the H22 type S implant so I got off a bit easy back to all motor.
