First time auto-x with GGCA BMW CCA
 

The Golden Gate chapter of BMW Car Club had a fun run/auto-x at Candlestick Park. About 60 drivers, about half of which are first-timers... me included! Definitely had a blast, but with so many drivers, only got 6 runs, 1 of which didn't even get to finish because of a red flag as the e92 M3 in front of me spun out.

Anyways, had a decent time of 0:57.3, lots of BRZs and FRSs, the more experienced drivers were doing 0:56.x. The e36 M3s ruled the day though, when well-prepped, those cars just fly thru the cones.

Good thing I took a video, I can see a lot of places where I can pick up more tenths of a second.

Its all about seat time for sure. One spot stood out where you could have been in the 56 second range was right at the start. You were VERY behind on the slalom. This hurt you.

The rest was little things like hands and smoothing out your entry and exit.
