Wheel and Tire Tests
 

This is my attempt to put all of the wheel and tire tests for the FR-S, BRZ, GT86 all in one post.

The first test is from Road & Track. They tested the stock FR-S tire & wheel: 215/45/17 Michelin Primacy HP tires 17x7 offset 48 wheels vs. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs 215/45/17 on stock wheels vs. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs 235/40/18 on Advan 18x? wheels. The last set here has a diameter approximately 1" greater than stock. I think this greater diameter is why this is a slower setup.

The second I think is a fairer test done by MOTOR Magazine. This is because they tested ten 225/40/18 tires on 18x8.5 O.Z. UltraLeggera wheels. If you read carefully, you'll find that they list test results for the stock tire and wheel in some of the tests as well. Note that because this is an Australian magazine, this is a Tyre Test instead of a Tire Test.:)

Third is a test from Edmund's. They test the stock wheel and tire against a Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 245/40/18 tire on Volk TE37SL 18x8.5 offset 45 wheels. This test is very detailed.
