First Track day of this year *Pissing rain*

The Pacific Northwest region is famous for RAIN, so it's not a surprising thing lol.

Did my first track day at Ridge Motorsports Park, Shelton WA this year and it was pissing rain

This year, I changed the alignment setting along with wider tires/. It's beena great experience on WET. Power understeer and unpredictable oversteer :D

Here's a couple of videos !

Welcome to the NW right? Living here for just over a decade I've learned that if I'm unwilling to play in the rain, I'm not going to do much playing.

Anywho, great videos and on behalf of the IRDC, thank you for attending the event. I was there with a 200hp CRX running the 6 hour enduro on Sunday and it was really neat to see all the FRS's at the track and I think all of them were down from BC.

Gotta ask, why the distracting rear view animal? Its right in line of sight?

Yup, Red #5. If we happen to be at the Ridge again at the same time I will come over and say hi.

Some updates about the event if you're curious: http://racecraftinstruction.com/

Also, what did you think about the club that hosted the day you attended (IRDC). Any feedback? Would you run attend another one of their events in the future?

I actually like the rainy days, looks like fun

Kamran 04-13-2013 11:35 PM

Tom said the morning was dry. Three sessions in the dry is not bad this time of year. Besides rainy trackdays make you a much better and smoother driver.

I'll be there with the Porsche club (in my FRS) in May. Hope to see a few frs's.

There's one coming up on May 4th with Turn 2 lapping. Just checked out the entry list, DAMN a lot of fast cars...... don't know if I should go :S

Kamran 04-19-2013 03:13 PM

Going up against the guys with twice the Hp makes it that much more sweet!

Just make sure that they are a long ways behind at the start of the straights!!!

I'll be there May 3rd.
