Coilovers vs. Springs???

I haven't made the purchase of my frs/brz yet, but I know for sure that when I get one I would like to get rid of the wheel gap on it. Now, I'm not looking for a drastic lowering or anything, just about an inch or two. But I would also like for it to ride well. Basically I would just like to pick your guys' brains and see what you guys know from experience before I go changing things on my car. Thanks!

P.S. If you have any recommendations for coilovers or springs I would appreciate it! I'm new to the car customization scene! :bonk:

Hey bud I'm actually stationed at Scott AFB, IL as well but I'm out the country for the next two months so if you ever need a hand with working on your car or whatever I could help you out.

As far as lowering, what exactly do you want to do with your car? If you're just going after a simple drop and some mild/minor performance gain without breaking your pockets I'd suggest going with springs.

I have stock struts with Eibach Sportlines that you can probably just have, if you don't mind the waiting until I'm back in IL... Was going to hook someone else up but your USAF and at my base. The drop is about 1.4 front and rear and ride quality doesn't suffer at all. I'll let you checkout my car when I'm back in IL, it's a pretty aggressive wheel/suspension combination... And definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Also, check out the stickies in the suspension/chassis/brakes section.

Thanks! I'll check it out! I know I'll appreciate any help I can get. As far as what I want to do, it's nothing aggressive. I would prefer to just lower it to the point where there's not alot of wheel gap. And from what you are saying springs sound like the way to go. And I haven't got my frs/brz yet, but i'll probably be getting it in may sometime. If what you have works for what I want to do I'm all for it! Thanks again!
