EasyGo Keyless Door system for FRS and BRZ

Disclaimer: Not affiliated with a vendor or trying to sell anything. Just helping those out that want some of the features we didn't get here.

Back when all of the SEMA pictures started popping up I noticed this system for keyless entry and push-button start was being made for the FR-S. Well, I haven't heard anything about it in a while and shot an email off to the manufacturer a few weeks ago. I just received this today:

"The EasyGO system for the FR-S will be available before the end of the month and can be purchased on Amazon.com. Thank you.

Customer Assistance"

Sure enough, it's listed on Amazon right now as out of stock, for 599 dollars.

It sounds like an awesome system IMO, and the biggest part for me is that it comes with an OEM quality replacement driver's door handle with the keyless entry button.

Found the picture in Phastek's SEMA thread:
http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y..._DSC0152-1.jpg

edit: Prototype shot above has changed. No need to get OEM trim and relocate button like I said in my earlier post. Actual trim piece looks very similar if not just like the OEM piece. See below. Big win imo.

edit: Mustang picture removed. Actual pictures of what you get were put up on Amazon, so here they are. Door handle is color-specific.

$600?

Leave an annoying ass key in my pocket or buy tires...

HRMMMMMM.

cfusionpm 04-04-2013 11:33 PM

That looks sweet! I'd buy one!

But it's a little low on the list of priorities at the moment.... Have a new head unit and exhaust above it.

WillBRZ 04-05-2013 12:10 AM

the keyfob looks nice tho

finch1750 04-05-2013 12:30 AM

Does the system come with all the sensors and parts needed to bypass the immobilizer? Just curious to see if the install will be similar to the one in the DIY section of the forum.

campy 04-05-2013 12:34 AM

I thought installing push button starts meant that you still have to put in your key and turn it to the "on" position. I'm guessing they figured out a way around that?

Chaetagnath 04-05-2013 12:41 AM

I want that.

Kind of. the reason for that is the steering wheel lock. there are work around such as removing the lock itself (which i think is done by removing the ignition cylinder itself???) or cutting the head of a key off and leaving it turned and capping it. you have to undo the electrical harness too so you dont drain the battery

From http://www.easygosystem.com/faq.php

"Do I need anything else to install the EasyGO system on vehicles with an immobilizer system?
No, everything you need is included with your vehicle specific EasyGO Smart Key system. If your vehicle is equipped with an immobilizer chip built-in the key, then your EasyGO system will include a necessary Bypass module specific to your vehicle. A Bypass module will inform your vehicle's computer that a valid key is present when your Remote Smart Key is within proximity. You will also be required to disable your steering wheel lock."

Sweet. Low on the mod list, but definitely the kit to get it sounds like. Thanks

lol!!! EXACTLY!!! :bellyroll:

DBacon1052 04-05-2013 03:58 AM

Is this something that I would have to pay to get installed or is it pretty straight forward. I've done a lot of stereo systems with my brother so I do have a bit of technical knowhow when it comes to cars.

DBacon1052 04-05-2013 04:01 AM

I just want to add that the push to start button goes where the limited brz's is. Not where the pic above shows it.

Check the DIY section as someone did a pushbutton w/keyless on their FRS. This kit seems like it will be an easier job, but it should give you an idea.

you Da Man!! :thanks:

I'm betting that the button could be placed in the OEM trim spot too for a cleaner look.

edit: As an example, here's the whole kit for the Mustang.

As with everyone else, it's low priority for me, but certainly a cool find.

Thanks for that. I must have caught them when they were updating it, because all of the pictures are up now. I'm going to edit the OP and include them.

I agree it's not for everyone, but that can be said of any modification.

FastLane1000 04-05-2013 09:22 AM

Awesome! I had Keyless Go on my last car and miss it. Also tired of my knee hitting the key. This may be my next mod.

marcosowns 04-05-2013 09:33 AM

Very awesome find! I've always wanted to have this feature on my car. Now to scrape up $600...

Juanito08 04-05-2013 11:11 AM

Why you no put remote starter!!!

I would be all over that

It does have a remote starter, for AT cars. Probably a way to override it for MT as well, but they don't want the liability of someone effing their car, something, someone else up when they start in gear I'd imagine.

Its possible for MT too. Just need to bypass the clutch (which is hella simple). I did it on my STi just cause i liked to be able to start my car from the passenger side. lol

draggin_az 04-05-2013 11:55 AM

when this becomes available, it'll be my next mod as well

Juanito08 04-05-2013 12:14 PM

Well I'm in then :) thanks

Sevs753 04-05-2013 12:29 PM

I'm going to wait a while to see peoples experiences with the kit on these cars before I get it but I definitely want it. I just don't like messing with the electrics on newer cars. Too many things to go wrong.

campy 04-05-2013 01:41 PM

I will seriously consider this kit. The push button start was the only thing I particularly wanted off of the BRZ.

In what situation would you need to start your car from the passenger side?

Haha. I had a turbo timer and would warm up the car with it in the morning. It saved me from walking through wet grass/bushes in slippers and basketball shorts to get to the driver side

l0aded 04-05-2013 03:42 PM

I originally thought I wanted keyless entry but after realizing my phone just barely fits in that little cubby I think putting my phone there is worth more than not having to pull my key out of my pocket. Looks like a clean set though, if it was 200 less I'd consider it.

Park your car the other way around?

enjoi23 04-05-2013 06:53 PM

same here

if the 2014 or 2015 FRS came with push to start, I was strongly going to consider trading in the '13 for it. but if this system works, I'm all for it

Just a button. The key hole gets covered.

phanguy 04-05-2013 08:31 PM

Damn I really want this. This was my main reason for wanting the BRZ.... Think the company would consider a group buy if we had enough people to make it worthwhile for them???

Wow that fucking sucks and I understand now.

MattF 04-07-2013 01:25 PM

I wonder how hard the install is.
