Tempted...

So, I went to the gas station as a evo X approaches me. He gets out and starts asking me about the 86. No big deal. We swap stories we check out each others car yada yada yada... As I get about to leave. He says... "So, want to trade?" As he hands me his contact info. I'm not sure if he was serious or not, but if he was. I am sorda tempted to make the trade. Anyway. Curious on everyone's thoughts, and what you would do. I know one of the our members on here had traded their 86 for an evo, I'm wondering if he regrets it. I know this would be a bias since i am in an 86 forum.

Thats a tough one. I've always loved the Evo. I wonder why he wouldn't just sell it and get a new frs though

hold on a second, Get his EVO's VIN, and check the history on KBB make sure no accident or anything hidden story behind to think about trading.

I love the evo as well, which is why this offer is so appealing to me. As for selling his and buying a new one. In Oregon the FR-S at dealers are hard to come by. Sales have slowed down quite a bit here.

as far as i'm aware. his car is completely stock, w/ no horror stories behind it. But i'm more curious on thoughts of what you people think or if I may be just ripping myself off here. If i do decide to trade, I will do my homework.

Just trade, I'm sure there will be money involved. But I have receipts of all mods done to my car I will incorporate that plus my car only has 55XX miles on it. Basically a new car.

This is intriguing....

Pros: Faster, built car, still gets alot of looks, good in winter

Cons: Gas milage isnt as good, still takes premium, will have many more people trying to race you

I would check the milage to make sure you aren't getting shafted pricewise, and ask the guy for his maintenance history. Call me a skeptic, but this almost sounds too good to be true.

Touge_ninja 04-04-2013 06:33 PM

I'd do it in a heartbeat

Perfect. If i make the trade and I decided I hate it. I can come to you to trade right? Ha ha ha.

forzajuve 04-04-2013 07:22 PM

I would be very leery. Get as much information about the car as you can, plus how aware are you of his driving habbits? Also, seems like you would have to cough up more $$ because that isn't an even trade...

Touge_ninja 04-04-2013 07:23 PM

@Chen YES! Lol but u gotta give me bill credit on my att account hahaha

m.box.design 04-04-2013 07:42 PM

If you trade you are dead to us. But you don't come around enough anyways, so I don't think you'll be missed. :)

so bashful. I'll think of it as hazing. Ha ha. As long as it doesn't get the genesis owner treatment.

shobox206 04-04-2013 07:59 PM

why would you even consider trading it? if ur 50/50 stick to the first choice
