Beat Sonic Shark Fin Antenna -- Reception vs OEM?

I've had my Whiteout for a little over 4 months now and I could not be happier with each passing day. Yesterday I got my first mod for my car, the Beat Sonic Shark Fin Antenna. The install was incredibly easy (even though my fiance said my paranoia/OCD added an extra 5 minutes to the install) and took approximately 10 minutes from taking the antenna out of the package to finish. I did my research thoroughly before making my final decision on the Beat Sonic antenna, their quality and service it top notch and rivals other top companies. However after install, I noticed a 25% drop in reception for non-HD stations and some of my HD stations that I used to get no longer come in at all.

I have a feeling that this is an isolated case as there are not many bad reviews on reception regarding the Beat Sonic antenna. Has anyone else in Florida had this occur with their Beat Sonic Shark Fin antenna? I followed all directions included in the package and even went so far as to look up 2 youtube videos on proper install. This is not a deal breaker for me as non-HD stations still come in fairly clear. I'm just wondering if the geography of Florida is affecting the reception of the new antenna, since Florida is much more flat compared to other states....or I'm just crazy. All-in-all I love how the new antenna looks on my car, so sleek!

I'm not in Florida, but I haven't noticed any problems with reception. I mainly listen to my iPod. None the less haven't had any issues.

There IS a drop in reception, I can 100% confirm.

The next time I travel to Atlanta, I will try to remember to pay attention to reception quality. Probably won't be until the summer, but look forward to the road trip back home again to visit family.

Have it but can't tell. All the local stations pick up just as strong. Also, I use my iPhone 99% of the time though.

My reception has been terrible with it. Anyone find a way to resolve the issue?
