Florida BRZ group purchase
 

I would like to see if we could get a realistic head count of those who might be interested in combining forces to do a group BRZ purchase in Florida. It would be based on those willing to do a preorder in order to get one of the first series of shipments. Several of us have been posting in the VIP thread, so I thought it made sense to get a count and start chatting up the dealers with a potential group buy. I travel a lot and am willing to go anywhere in the state to pickup the car. We may start in the Tampa and Northern Florida area, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'm from Orlando but also local to the Palm Beach south Florida area. I'm ready to buy this car as soon as it comes out. This is my first car I'm buying on my own so it would be an even better experience to band together with some people from here

I am going to approach my dealer here with what they would be willing to do if we bring them a three car deal.

Yeah they won't give me anything until they 1) know the price of the car and 2) know whether or not VIP program is in effect.

They have had so many requests for the car that they know they won't have a hard time selling it. Going to keep working on it. Everyone else should also, we can all go with the best deal. I love the local dealer but if it comes down to 1-2k or whatever, they will lose the deal.

Agreed - lets keep everyone posted. Hopefully they will be releasing pricing soon, so we can start to work the numbers.

OK I sent an email to open the discussion officially with the GSM here. If you are 100% interested in buying the car when it comes out, please PM me so I have solid information to bring to him to work out pricing.

OK guys. Should be about final. With a deposit we are looking at VIP pricing if SoA approves it, otherwise $499 over invoice. Once I verify all details I will post contact information.

Yea I wouldn't mind its only an hour or two. I think Dave mentioned his dealer was maestro in Tampa if so maybe maestro in Sanford will offer the same deal

Guess I forgot to update this thread. Mastro closed the deal after a few of us due to news from SoA about availability. Hoepfully they'll let some more come into the deal but no sure bets..

So, i know this isn't for the BRZ, but i thought us Floridians would like to know:

A local Maroone Dealership gave me a call after emailing my 3 closest scion dealerships.

The main rep on the phone told me he just got information straight from Toyota HQ that Florida should be receiving cars THE BEGGINING OF JUNE! And that pricing should be released a month before.
