Front License Plate Ticket

I got a $10 fix-it ticket for not having a front license plate. Does that mean if I pay the $10 I do not have to get my front plate mounted? Please help the deadline is coming up soon :(

Pay it and keep paying every ticket you get. Don't let the cops ruin the look of your car :happy0180:

It doesnt say on the ticket? I think you can either pay it or mount your front plate and go I to court with proof you fixed the problem but ive never gotten a fix it ticket so im not sure. Which is pretty surprising because I removed my front plate and ran a European front plate for over two years on my jetta. Only got pulled over once, I played dumb, he said it looked good and let me off with a warning lol

So in order to take care of it you HAVE to mount your plate, regardless of whether you pay the fine?

Yup you go to the pigs house and show them you mounted it on before they ink the paper and you pay 10$ fee..

I thought with fix it tickets if you fixed it before the deadline you didn't have to pay the ticket. Never got a fix it ticket though, only speeding tickets...

as far as i know in california, yes you have to get it fixed and the ticket signed off by a policeman or a state referee.

From my experience you have to get it fixed then go to wherever it is to have an officer look and verify the repair. I say wherever because for my tint fix it ticket on my Evo I went to the court listed and the cashier there directed me to the other side of the complex to where they look at the cars then sign off.

Usually you have to "fix" the issue, in your case mount a front license plate before they will allow you to pay for your ticket, I believe you only have a certain time frame also. Once the time frame has passed I believe they increase the amount of the fine. It's required to have a front license plate mounted, just get a tow hook mount or something.

If it is a "fix it" ticket, everyone on here is correct, you gotta bring it to the location it says to on the ticket for someone to sign off that you fixed it.

I got a Fine, not a fix-it, while parked, so I just went online, paid the ticket, and never fixed the front plate.

Been there, done that. Sounds like you got a bored cop. You can literally double side tape it on if you want. The cop that checked mine just looked out the window and made sure it was on my car. I pulled the plate off a block later. Pay the $10, get it signed and call it a day

Most of the city have a ticket sign off fee, for city resident is cheaper, like $30- $50, this is on top of the ticket fine.

I got a tint ticket before and found out if I get it checked at a police/sheriff station they'll charge. That's why I went to C.H.P. instead, and they check and sign it off for free. Then you have to pay it off.

Yes I know this is about a front plate, just thought I'd share my story.
