Any of you guys get your car serviced at Carson Toyota?
 

I finally hit my 7500 mi mark and getting my complimentary service done at Carson Toyota. And was wondering if any of you guys liked the service and if you guys advice against their "complete auto detail" they offer with the service. I've been pretty good on keeping swirl marks of the paint and I really don't want a dealership mess it up. Thanks in advance

Make sure they becareful not to scratch your paint when the put that number cone on your roof.

As an aside, I work at an Infiniti dealership in Carlsbad. When a service customer comes in to our dealership and requests a detail, we actually contract out to a detailing company nearby. It may or may not be the same for Carson Toyota, depending on how well equipped their wash bays are. If they do indeed perform the detail in house, I would be wary at best. Most likely it would be done by a lot porter, which is an entry level job that literally anyone can attain with little to no experience. It's a gamble on whether or not you get someone that actually knows what they are doing, and this applies to the vast majority of dealership related car washing.
