Dry turbo oil feed
 

Yesterday i started my car for the first time with the turbo and let it idle for s couple of seconds and then went over everything once again to make sure everything was ok. I disconected my oil feed line and discovered it was dry. No oil is coming out at the sensor... Wtf is going on. Also i did not get a low pressure light in the dash. Weird. Anyone has an idea?

I know that providing that is the oil sensor/switch it should have oil there but every1 else (majority that I've seen FI) get the oil feel from the Allen key plug/block at the top of the motor in between the A/C and throttle body

ill go take a peek right away!!! i thought in a previous tread from avo or someone else i saw them taking it where i took mine as well..

are you taking about this plug?

i opened it up and saw a tiny bit of oil in there, but none on the plug it self....

Yeah that's the 1, I've seen pics on here of quite a few kits running from that hole... If your unsure u could always disconnect the coils and crank the engine over like that and see if any oil comes out?

dont do this, you'll have oil everywhere

Hahah yeah I meant like a few cranks not run the thing, it's just to reasure that the oil pump is working fine lol

Put a rag over the hole

The T fitting did have a bit of oil in it.... Man i am speechless. I was sure that was where p&l and @FullBlown had hooked up their feed!

Not sure on the spot in question, just want to chime in and say this. You should always prime the oil system with a new turbo. You just need to pull the EFI fuse or whichever its called in this car. Then turn it over for a few seconds. Then crack the line to see if you are getting oil or not.

I think i am.... The oil is brand new, very thin and clear. I just added oil through the line it was long but in the end it looked like it was dry but it wasnt... Now i need a maf and i can drive... Cel is now on and traction control as well oh well

Well cel because no MAF and traction control, no fkn clue

Either location should work. I have an oil pressure gauge sender in the stock pressure switch location and an oil temp probe in the one on top of the block. But people have put pressure probes in both locations so they should be suitable for an oil feed.

Like someone else said you really want to crank the engine without it starting.
