Can't we all just get along? LOL

Dude got owned by kids.

Dave-ROR 03-30-2013 12:12 PM

He deserved it IMO. After following them for 40 minutes he should have cooled down long before they stopped and he threw that punch. And who knows if those kids had guns or not, stupid as hell to put your wife and child in danger just because you are mad about something stupid that happened on the road.

Burrcold 03-30-2013 12:12 PM

And this is why guns should not be readily available to idiots like this. He was one misstep away from killing someone...all because they cut him off.

Shagaliscious 03-30-2013 12:31 PM

Wow, all that because someone cut you off. I would really like to ask the guy if it was worth it, LOL.

Celicadude 03-30-2013 12:33 PM

Why am I not surprised that a pickup truck was involved. I totally believe that he probably got cut off by the pickup, (only because I'm biased and have my own personal hatred for a certain group of pickup drivers in my area). With that being said, there is no excuse for this. This guy got what was coming to him. I hate ragers, and this guy had plenty of time to cool off and let it go. Him and his wife should have the book thrown at them. Not to mention they had a kid in he car. Way to set an excellent example.

Mavrik 03-30-2013 01:28 PM

you lose ALL ground to claim self defense if you FOLLOW and start the altercation

bravo to those kids teaching that man a lesson.

40 minutes he followed them? Yeah. thats premeditated and he should get attempted murder charges. Great example he set for his kid too. He endangered his own child in the whole thing.

Dave-ROR 03-30-2013 01:41 PM

Maybe, not sure.. I guess it depends on where they were when the weapon discharged (can't tell from the video). Shooting up their truck later wouldn't qualify.

I will say the claim that the kids went overboard is BS. Your friend gets punched without warning and I'd expect you to come to his aid. Any reasonable person would. They also stopped their actions after he was on the ground. If they started kicking him in the head/torso while he was down I could see it being excessive. Instead, they defended themselves until the fight ended with him on the ground and then did the right thing and walked away, before they even saw the wife had the gun. That says a lot for their self control and intentions in my opinion.

I wonder if the kids saw him following them.. if so they should have called the cops and prevented this whole situation, but oh well. Either way, IMO the kids did nothing wrong and that guy needs some charges.. just not sure on the attempted murder part... if the discharge was accidental and not in the direction of the teens then he should still get charged for that (assuming there's no texas law allowing it).

Claiming self defense would be a bit hard as the teens were removing themselves from the situation by that point.

My favorite part is the news lady though.. "maybe he knew the gun wasn't loaded and it discharged accidentally".. uhmmm? what? and then follows that up with "even if he didn't have bullets in it when he first fired it.." .. seriously?

A$$hole gets what he deserves. You guys could learn from Canada. We have strict (not perfect) gun controls. So, we just beat each other to death with baseball bats.

It's easier to run from a bat compared to a bullet!

The worst thing about this is that it got 6 minutes of national news time.

You guys do realize that the firearm "discharge" sound many of you hear in the video is actually the truck door closing right? Not that it matters, but he never discharged the firearm in the video.

We're only hearing one side of the story (and that of Fox at that). Who knows, these kids could have run the guy off the road, cut him off repeatedly, etc. they are idiots for leading him back to their house. What kind of idiot driver doesn't realize they are being followed for 40 minutes?

I'm not saying what he did is right, but I'd reserve judgement until I heard both sides of the story. So much wrong with the mainstream media and its ability to "portray" the story in a light they'd like you to see.

Word for the wise: If you are being followed for a prolonged time and it
looks like there could be hostility involved, lead them to the nearest police station.

pigs knuckle NC . He's probably a victim of child molestation, that's why he has so much hate inside him and can't let being cut off go.

Now he's gonna get that prison love.
