Alhammadi's FBM Turbo Kit

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone, I would like to share my opinions about the Toyota FT86 and the turbo kit that I've got from FBM. But first I would like to Thank the ft86club forum which gave me the chance to deal with LJ who was helping and advising me most of the times. Many thanks to him as well as FBM team to deliver all good quality products.

I bought the car 3 months ago. and it really a nice car Old school which is my favourite. Manual gear. black color. Handling is really great. but felt it needs more power. so I chose FBM turbo kit.

I've ordered the premium Stage 1 turbo kit. and started to install them step by step following the instructions that was provided by FBM. the whole installation didn't need special tools I only got few stuff from market such as RTV Sealant which used for the new oil pan, new engine oil and filter. I may not mentioned everything here so I would be happy to share some personal experience regarding the installation.

Issues? I've got some issues but they were not serious. and they been solved easily at the same time when contacted LJ.

After installations, Car totally transfered into a monster. turbo lag could be minor.

Additional: some stuff i got beside the Turbo kit:

Stage 3 Clutch Master.
Perrin red light weighted Crank Pulley
3" FBM exhaust

Future: I am thinking to get some rims ans wheels. breaks. oil cooler. not sure about the stock radiator if its gonna hold the 50 Degree Celsius or not. some gages.

I am going to get dyno results soon. I will be update the post soon.

@FullBlown Thank you for the stickers and the T-Shirt. =)

I would absolutely upgrade the radiator and add an oil cooler or check in to the Robispec total cooling solution, if you have the funds i would highly recommend it for those temps.

Thanks, I need to prepare it for June and July. I am looking forward for FBM radiator and oil cooler.

I believe I recall FBM telling me his radiator most likely wouldn't fit their kit. Not sure anyone has checked to be certain.

I'm a little hesitant to combine oil and coolant like that, however.

SICK!!! Great work! Yes definitely look into an upgraded radiator and oil cooler. I have a few customers in UAE and cooling is a big issue with the cars they build. I have seen the Koyo radiator for this car, and I feel even that is not really adequate.

Ali, thanks for the kind remarks. We scrapped the original radiator for a revised version that will work with our kit while maintaining the oem clearance.

I definitely like FBM's kit a lot. The turbo being right up front like that just looks awesome, and you can't argue with the numbers people have put down.

I second this...especially with the heat you guys have to deal with...

I am looking forward to seeing how the turbo kit handle the middle east climate

That's what I was thinking, haha. Us early adopters got shafted with no USB stick either. :D
