TRD Exhaust Sound Clip

Hey guys! Before I bought my car I was always interested in listening to the TRD exhaust, but I felt like the exhaust clips on youtube were pretty meh. I tried to make a good one myself ... but we'll see.

I tried recording with my DSLR in video mode first but the result was terrible. This is recorded with my 2 year old smartphone, but the audio is actually a lot better. Whenever I get a new phone I'll post a better one.

For the time being though, enjoy!

was this an axleback or did it replace the midpipe too? is the inlet a different size or the same?

These are good questions. I was under the impression it was only axleback however. I couldn't tell you about the inlet size :iono:

The inlet size isn't even 2.5" and it has the midpipe as the system is a Catback. The midpipe is roughly ~2.2" last time someone measured.

Curious how will the TRD Intake will put out. Are you about to buy that one next?

Really appreciate you taking the time to make this video... wish someone would do this for the STI exhaust! The two on YouTube right now aren't that great.

Question for the op
When you bought your exahaust did it comes with a certificate of compliance, bec my previous exp with trd exhaust they give a certificate

FR-S Matt 03-30-2013 09:08 AM

I like the Nameless Axleback way more than this. Deep tone with even higher quality. You can even get their catted downpipe as well for the price of this whole TRD catback. Just doesn't make sense.

I didn't personally receive any certificates, but then again my dealer kinda screwed up on the delivery aspect lol.

As far as I know, compliance doesn't matter whatsoever if it's bolted after the cat. Everything past the cat has nothing to do with emissions and only deals with sound. I didn't get anything with my tC TRD exhaust.
