OHLINS DFV COILOVERS FOR BRZ / FR-S

While we have our own coilovers almost ready here is an offering from Ohlins in the upper/mid range of available track day/street systems.

We have 2 sets in our possession.

So sexy. I keep telling myself you don't need coilovers, you don't need coilovers. It is getting hard to resist.

How do these ride/handle vs. the JRZ's that you've tested vs. the expected setup of the RCE Tarmac coilovers?

Also, I understand that they're softer sprung than the premium TEIN offerings (SRC) and focused more on street. I am interested in more of a street coilover with better trackability, but the ride has to be good or better than stock. Does this sound like the right fit? Or am I better off waiting for the RCE coilovers/going with JRZ?

If you could PM me a price on the Ohlins shipped to CA that'd be great. Thanks.

Keep in mind that GOOD shocks dampen VERY well and are NOT stiff on the street and exhibit awesome chassis control EVEN with stiff springs. With that said the Ohlins I have owned and tracked in the past were awesome on both street and track with .......HIGH rates. Something most JDM dampers cant do because of the way they are valved.

JRZ does this very well. KW's do this well also. Each of these manufactures "skins the cat" in a different way.

The intro on the T2's is nearly half the price of these and the JRZ. So there are price points to consider.

Nice! Will you be cutting the dust boots according to the instructions or leave them as they are? I'm on the fence as I don't see how they can protect the piston if its exposed, but then other hand I'm worried the dust boots could bind on big bumps.

Just seems awkward they didnt supply correct fitting boots.
