Infiniti G37 Coupe
So I had a co worker who has just leased one for a company car and gave me the keys today for a lil test drive during lunch break :burnrubber:
Despite it being an automatic, I wasn't very keen on it. I guess I just don't get this car. Is it a luxury car or a sports car? brakes, accelerator, steering wheel it all just felt really "electronic" and the springs are all cushiony. i like to feel the bumps on the road and sound of brake pads chirping as i brake the force feedback on the accelerator and brake pedals but nothin l ike that was there in that car. The brake pedals just pushes down like cheese, and the accelerator pedal just goes down the same way. There's no tightness nor vibration from the engine transferred into my foot. It felt really souless and as i drove it I felt like i wasn't the one driving the car, the car was driving me. :sigh: Well.. It goes really fast in a straight line. Someone explain to me if i'm insane or i'm just looking at it the wrong way. |
Look it this way, G37 is nice car to ppl that want sports car, but don't know anything bout sports car nor want to loose luxury feeling. I've driven G35 & G37x... & gotta say, they're nice in for semi-luxury sports car for the price... But I won't be buying them

the infiniti G series is as close as a competitor has ever gotten to driving anything like the class benchmark, the BMW 3er. hyper sensitive steering and a tight suspension make this car a blast to drive. only the seating position spoils the fun as it's too high for a drivers car. hopefully on the next go round they'll get that part right.

God, I still want one.

I totally dislike engine vibrations through the pedals and I can't believe anybody would like that. It feels strained. I love the G coupe with a Sports Package.

I rather take the 370z then a G37

too many people drive one, i swear for every 4 cars on the road, there is at least 1 g35/g37 lol

Reckon it's a pretty well put together competent machine, but it's purpose has been nailed by others above. If you want to waft about while maintaining some association with sportiness it is the car for you. If not, it ain't.
Nothing wrong with fancying/not fancying that type of car. |
What's there not to get? It's a grand tourer, not a sports car.
