Buying FRS or BRZ for 1K (maybe 2K) below MSRP?

I, myself, and 2 other friends want to buy a FRS. We are committed to the car. It's the price we hate. MSRP sucks.

What are the odds that all three of us can get a SCION dealer to sell us the FRS for 1K (maybe 2K) under the MSRP if we all decide to make the purchase on the same day at the end of March?

TL;DR Three people go into a Scion at the same time on March 31st and buys each themselves an FRS at 2K below MSRP. Will it work?

their no haggle thing... probably low chance

Captain_Awesome_Pants 03-27-2013 07:54 PM

Chances on the "selling like hotcakes FR-S"? Very unlikely or an absolute impossibility without mitigating circumstances. If it had been sitting on the lot for more than a year? More likely.

The markup isn't very big to begin with. And you will never be satisfied whatever you get.

Even better, negotiate a 3 car deal and then just take one to start.

On the other hand, just buy a Genesis coupe.

LOL. Now you're showing your age. Today the dealership makes much more if you put the minimum down and let them handle financing.

Buying three cars at once won't help considering they'll be able to sell all three cars regardless.

It's not like you're walking in and trying to buy 3 Carollas or something that might sit on the lot.

Sarcasm is often missed on the web.

Dreg through the "how much did you pay" threads, some guys are claiming they paid <$24k, PM them how.

1. Talk to Military Recruiter
2. Get DEP paper
3. Take to Dealer
4. Get $1000 off MSRP
5. Enjoy your car before boot camp
6. ??
7. Profit

Drive to Ohio and buy mine. Take over payments around 20k left to owe.

rxpx2012 03-27-2013 08:33 PM

I got mine in Ohio and it was less then $24,000. They are sitting around at a lot of the lots around here.

In a similar fashion.

1. Go to college
2. Graduate
3. Use transcript to receive $1000 off MSRP.

Also, car is a steal at the current price. It's not a Dodge Neon so don't expect it to sell for such. Or buy one used. :iono:
