Apartment Sticker Mod

So ... unfortunately my apartment complex requires that I put a stupid adhesive sticker on it ...

Obviously I'm not so inclined to do so, but I'd rather oblige than have my car towed.

My question is ... Should I do anything before hand to prep the area? (Wash/Wax?). Also, I'm considering putting it on the diffuser.... That way it won't hurt any paint ... but I'm not sure what effect it'll have on that type of plastic. Any suggestions? I hear I'm supposed to use a blow dryer to remove it.

Really sucks b/c I'll only be here for <2 months :P

Can you put it on windshield? If so much easier to remove. Just prep area with alcohol so it will adhere better

Do they say Where you have to put it? I would put it on the bottom corner of your rear window. easy to clean off glass

It's not a Ferrari man... just put the sticker on anywhere, you can use Goo Gone to remove the gunk after you peel it off.

Doesnt have to be a ferrari to not want to put an ugly sticker on such a good looking car.

Like others have said go for the window if possible, if not you may run into adhesion issues on the rear diffuser but thats the next best option.

On the diffuser I'd be concerned about a little fading being noticeable when you remove the sticker. I'd go with the bottom left rear of rear window. In two months it'll be easy to remove leaving no trace.

does Goo Gone fade out the paint on the car as well? I hear people using Goo Gone with bad luck.

I never tried it. I've always kept a can of lighter fluid on my work bench and in many years it has never failed me or caused a problem.

lighter fluid....to keep the car clean or keep people away from your car?

Put the sticker on the inside of the windshield using scotch brand celo tape. It peels off easy with no resudue leftover.

Goo Gone does not fade paint, but rubbing with a paper towel or a cloth may lightly abrade the clear coat and create a slight haze. I also recommend putting the sticker on the glass somewhere. Corner of the windshield, corner of the back window, corner of the back side window, etc.

Is it a little barcode or is it some huge hideous logo?

Waiting on the impending "GReddy apt sticker relocation kit" :D

Get an old cassette tape case, clean it up really good and stick it to that or a piece of plexiglass and put it in the window instead

Stick the sticker on something that can hang from your rear view mirror like a parking pass. that way its viewable and can be thrown in the glove box if need be.
