It is kPa probably, most of the JDM pressure gauges actually read in "x100" kPa so .6 is actually 60 kPa. But BAR and kPa are the same anyways except for the 100 scale factor.

Are they developing this as a kit or a one-off shop car?

I'd be more interested in an Amuse body kit after what they did for the 370.

That makes sense. The scale factor may have just been lost in translation. :)

Hmm, as a kit, this may be really interesting to me.

Thank you very much for your interest. Updates for the 86 platform and more coming soon ;)

JackSmiley 04-09-2013 04:47 PM

This kit will not only cost you an arm and a leg, but also a kidney and a lung! But wait, there's more! If you purchase this kit, you'll also have to sell your soul to the demon of speed once you put your foot onto the gas pedal.

Still is a beautiful kit. Waiting for updates, and in line if there is one.:D

tomato86 04-16-2013 01:39 PM

The suspense is killing me, but I wonder if the results weren't favorable. They took the car to Sodegaura Forest but...? lol no updates since March 30th, c'mon Amuse drop the 370ZZZZZZZ's talk and fill us in!

tomato86 05-01-2013 09:49 AM

I see that Amuse has released their single exit exhaust, Bulletproof posted on their facebook page. That's progress!

BPAuto 05-02-2013 03:54 PM

Hello everyone,

Powerhouse Amuse has been very busy on multiple projects including the R35 GT-R and FT86 platform.

We can't release specific details just yet...but trust us.. they will be worth the wait. As Tomato86 has noted...The latest update we can provide is the release of the single exit exhaust system...

Official pricing, options, and availability through Bulletproof Automotive is now posted on Facebook and Commercial Threads.

A lot of FT86club board members have been interested ever since we released a sneak peak after Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 during our visit to Amuse HQ.

Video and details to follow!

looks like >2g, but does look great.

Clean_Slate 05-04-2013 11:08 AM

will they use 70mm for this as well? or will they produce a 76mm for turbo applications. Let me know if they will make a 76mm dual or single..... I will buy it in a heart beat.

Looking at the piston on the front page, one of three things is going on: 1) the setup is either stroked, 2) the cam has more lift, or 3) they milled out the face to drop the compression ratio. Any comment on this?

I was wondering this exact same thing, love their 370z kit. Emailed them a while ago about it.

Hello supramkivtt2jz,

Thank you very much for your inquiry!

Powerhouse Amuse is utilized low compression CP pistons for this turbo build.

With that being said, Amuse is constantly working on, improving, and adding to their product lines so there is a possibility that in the future Amuse will produce aftermarket aero parts for the FT86/FR-S. Please check back in with us on our Amuse thread to keep up with the latest news and details on Amuse parts. Please also like us on Facebook to receive all the up-to-date news on Amuse and other high quality JDM parts. PM us if you have any questions or need additional info.

Did this kit officially end up as "vaporware"? As in, not releasing to the public?

BPAuto 07-09-2014 04:47 PM

Hello,

Not exactly sure what you mean, the kit is available for purchase!

Lead time is going to be your "standard JDM" made to order lead time of roughly 3 months to arrive.

Kind regards,

Gotcha, there was never any official announcement or maybe I missed it? Was waiting for dyno numbers, photos, etc. I know they don't update their webpage much but http://www.webamuse.co.jp/86/parts.html just has their overpipes listed. Any more info? Thanks.

BPAuto 07-09-2014 05:06 PM

I really wouldn't expect to see too much as Dyno numbers on JDM spec Gas/Tune will be different than in the US, in addition, will really also depend on supporting mods...
