Bubbling/knocking (but not liquid) sound aside from chirping

After the chirping started, I started using Lucas ethanol fuel conditioner:

But after a few fill-up, I notice this bubbly/boggy/diesel sound. I searched through the threads.. I can hear it in the cabin the most prominent, and not so much under the hood. Fuel pump?

Thanks!
Mike

So you've used this conditioner once and this noise immediately started, or you've used it multiple times and this noise randomly started?

Sounds like a car from the 1960s with 100K miles.

mine just started doing this last weekend, at about 10.5k. It's intermittent. My girlfriend has started calling my car the bubble car because of the noise...definitely not a manly way for your car to be described lol

It only happens when the engine is warm and at idle, similar to the chirps. I may take it in for a checkup and see what they say. It's sounding like me using the ethanol treatment isn't a cause now.

Have you tried capping the sound generator tube yet? Might be as simple as that.

I just ordered a cold air intake (the Takeda), so when I put that in next week I'll see what happens. Thanks for everyone's help!

You know.. i just installed an intake today and noticed that the round generator thing can touch near the intake.. its mounted with bushings or something and is very flexible. I havent removed that part yet.. i might take it out or put sticky foam under it and see what happens.

Does it kind of sound like something is loose? Like plastic? I thought my valve cover was tapping but it wasn't. Haven't found the issue yet

I think that is the same sound mine makes which has been happening for as long as I can remember. Randomly can hear it after getting off the freeway after a 30 min trip. I thought it was normal after reading this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14274
