BRZ Head unit password?

So I disconnected the negative lead on my battery to install the auto-dim mirror w/ homelink.

After reconnecting it, my HU is now asking for a pw.
I tried searching, googling and couldn't find anything.

Canadian BRZ, I've tried 1111, 9999, the HU serial number, last digits of my VIN.

no luck lol....
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

you try 0000? lol

I would imagine its in your manual.

Are you talking about the Bluetooth password? Should be 0000 as stated above. Almost very device uses 1234 or 0000. Helps to open your glovebox and RTFM too. :p

Not the BT pw, my head unit locked after disconnecting the battery and is asking for a password.

I did flip through the manual... wasn't there.

check your paperwork from your deal, if there isn't anything listed call the dealer with your vin # handy and they should be able to pull the password for you and store it in a safe place just incase it happens again.

I remember with my STI there was a metal dog tag that came with the keys with a series of numbers on it. This was the headunit unlock code for those times when you pulled the battery/lost power/headunit reset itself.

Not sure what the Canadian BRZ has, but yeah call the dealership and ask them for the code.

You are right. Completely forgot about those. I have them on my keys and now remember the dealer saying thats what it was for. good call man.

I thought those were unique identifiers for recoding the chip in the keys/recutting the keys.

You might be right. I never used the tag and now the STI is gone...

One tag has the key code, the other is the imobilizer code.

I digging through the Service Manual to see if there is something

sparks 03-27-2013 03:47 PM

Nothing in the Service Manual or the troubleshooting booklet for the F-10. I sent an email to a couple of friends ;)

I went through the car manual as well as the Nav/radio manual and didn't see any mention of a password other than the BT one.
