No guide lines on reverse
 

Hi guys
I have a Fujitsu Ten HU in my 86. Was reading that HU adds guide lines that you can adjust, so I bought a camera that does not have them...
Today tried hooking it up. Tried on 4 pin and 16 pin plugs... No lines!
I can go into the settings screen (3 button push) and play with the lines - they are there. But when I put the into reverse gear, I can see image from the camera, but dont see the guide lines from HU!

Is there something special you have to do? I was playing with it while the car was still switched off (just enough to get the HU working). Maybe I have to start the car, shift into reverse and start moving for the lines to appear?

The guide lines are in the firmware of the head unit. If you have video and no lines, it's a firmware issue.

Some people would prefer having no lines actually...:D

Him... Trip to a dealer then? Or can I update firmware myself?

The only way the US cars can update the firmware is with a new radio. The map contained on the SD card can be updated.
